Hanifah earned a BS in Chemistry and Biology at the University of Kabul, Afghanistan. Since arriving as an Afghan refugee to the SF Bay Area in 1979, Ms. Tokhi has been actively assisting other Bay Area Afghan refugees. She has spent her entire adult life studying Rumi. Her career in the U.S. includes positions as an information specialist in the banking and finance industry, and a volunteer assimilation counselor for the Fremont Afghan Elder Association. Ms. Tokhi is the Program Coordinator for FSR's English Tea Time project. |
